Unit Standard 3789 - Sling varied regular loads and safely direct a crane during crane operations.
Description
A mobile crane can be a very technical machine to operate. This course is designed to help anyone pursuing a career as a Mobile crane operator.
Course Objectives
Once you've successfully completed the course, the attendee will be able to:
Demonstrate knowledge of using a mobile crane.
Configure and position a mobile crane.
Lift and place regular and irregular loads with a mobile crane.
Prepare mobile crane for travel mode, and complete documentation.
Carry out daily and weekly operator maintenance of a mobile crane.
Important note: All unit standards are awarded by EarnLearn-Te Pukenga.
Other Requirements
Proof must be given to show that all the students hold the relevant unit standards as stated in the prerequisite section.
Crane & lifting equipment must be certified when carrying out the practical components of the assessment.
Multiple objects to lift for the practical components of the assessment.
All students need to provide photo identification, either drivers licence or passport on the day.
A room big enough for all the students to sit & do the written part of the assessment.
